On request I can exchange that for a period-correct SSH set from EMG which dates back to 1988 or an sss set from march 1989 which I have it sitting here, if you prefer that. The guitar currently has a newer EMG Steve Lukather set installed, which sounds fantastic. The guitar also features an ebony fretboard, original black hardware and comes in very nice natural finish that makes the quilt stand out. The neck is birdseye maple, as with most Custom Pro guitars.
The serial number is 0354, which makes it a quite early Custom Pro (1989). The Interlock neck joint not only provides a joint with the stability of a set-in neck and the serviceability of a bolt-on, but also an extremely smooth heel sculpture which makes playing the upper registers a breeze. There have been around 80 or 90 interlock guitars and maybe just a handful of them with quilted maple bodies, let alone one-piece bodies. This one is very special in two aspects: it has a one piece quilted maple body (that's right, Sir - you don't get that these days any more) and it has the famous Interlock neck joint patented by Valley Arts.
Selling my wonderful Valley Arts Custom Pro guitar. If you want to you can always contact me and ask for additional pictures that prove I am the real owner. STAY ALERT! I just learned that yesterday somebody used the pics and the text from one of my listings and scammed someone who bought the guitar from him - or at least thought so.
